The Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment is part of the Admissions team in the Law School. This role is a key individual contributor who recruits and counsels prospective and admitted law students, reviews and recommends action on law school applications, administers a national student recruiting program and on-campus programs for admitted applicants, and acts as advisor to student recruiters.

The Assistant Dean of Law School Admissions serves as an essential member of the College of Law and University team and reports to the College of Law Dean’s Office and to the Vice President for Enrollment. The Assistant Dean of Law School Admissions is the primary Admissions Office Contact (ADM) for the law school and is the senior-most leader in the office. 

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports all aspects of the Law School’s admission application and recruiting process. Key areas of focus for the Assistant Director are in reviewing and evaluating applications, coordinating and participating in our Interview Program, executing admissions-related in-person and virtual programs and events, and maintaining data integrity with the Law School’s Office of Admissions and improving operational processes to meet a high level of student service.

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission, the Associate/Director of Admission has significant responsibility for several areas of JD Admissions, including collaborative development and implementation of programmatic marketing/recruitment strategies in the Office of Admission. The position has a professional level of expertise in all areas of evaluation for JD program.

Cornell Law School seeks a Director of Judicial Clerkships to serve as an integral member of the Career Development Office, supporting student and alumni career goals with a focus on post-graduate judicial clerkships at the federal and state levels. Duties include the following:
