Code of Conduct for Events and Forums of ݴý, Inc. (“ݴýForum Code of Conduct”)

Welcome to this ݴý, Inc. Forum (“ݴýForum”)! As part of this ݴýForum, you may engage with law school representatives and other experts at the ݴýForum (collectively, the “law school representatives”) of the ݴýForum and participate in discussions of subjects, topics, and issues raised during the ݴýForum. By attending the ݴýForum, you agree that you have read and will follow the rules, terms, and conditions set forth in this ݴýForum Code of Conduct.

This ݴýForum Code of Conduct specifically governs the behavior and conduct required for your participation in the ݴýForum. The ݴýForum Code of Conduct applies to all individuals that register for and enter the ݴýForum (each individual may be referred to as “participants,” “you,” or “users”) and constitutes a binding, legal agreement between you, the ݴý, Inc., and its agents, successors, heirs, and assigns (“LSAC”).

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the ݴýForum Code of Conduct. To preserve a climate that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to cancel your registration to the ݴýForum, prohibit you from attending the ݴýForum, remove you from the ݴýForum, and/or deny admission or cancel your registration to attend any future ݴýForum, as a result of a violation of any provision in the ݴýForum Code of Conduct.  At its discretion, ݴýmay notify its member schools that your registration to the ݴýForum was cancelled, that you were prohibited from attending the ݴýforum, that you were removed from the ݴýForum, and/or that you will be denied admission or your registration will be cancelled if you attempt to attend any future ݴýForum.

All participants must adhere to and comply with the following ݴýForum Code of Conduct:

  1. General Rules
    1. Always treat others with kindness and respect, even if you do not agree with them.
    2. Stay on topic, do not intentionally derail conversations, do not troll, and do not spam.
    3. Use appropriate language (e.g., do not use any profane, explicit, or offensive language).
    4. Do not intentionally insult or offend others.
    5. As determined by ݴýat its sole discretion, do not engage in any hate speech, intimidation, harassment, sexual, racial, ethnic slurs, or any other offensive conduct or post any discriminatory content.
    6. Do not engage in any behavior outside of the ݴýForum that threatens, harasses, targets, or otherwise seriously offends any participant of or law school representative at the ݴýForum, including, but not limited to, cyberbullying, as determined by the attendee of the ݴýForum at their sole discretion.
  2. Rules Regulating Your Behavior on Digital Chatrooms, Message Board, and/or Other Digital Forms of Communication (collectively, the “ݴýDigital Platforms”)
    1. During the ݴýForum, ݴýmay make the ݴýDigital Platforms available to participants of the ݴýForum for the purpose of participating in the ݴýForum and providing a digital location for the discussion of issues that are important to participants and law school representatives of the ݴýForum.
    2. ݴýis making the ݴýDigital Platforms available to participants and law school representatives of the ݴýForum for educational and informational purposes only. ݴýis not undertaking to render advice. ݴýForum participants must rely solely on their own judgment with respect to all issues discussed. ݴýdoes not approve or endorse any specific practices, conduct, or behavior that may be discussed on the ݴýDigital Platforms. ݴýmakes no representations or warranties regarding the experience, qualifications, or information provided by law school representatives on the ݴýDigital Platforms or otherwise provided using the ݴýDigital Platforms.
    3. Information posted on the ݴýDigital Platforms will not be treated as confidential, and, therefore, you should not disclose any personally identifiable information or any confidential, proprietary, sensitive, or other protected information. Since any content posted on the ݴýDigital Platforms may be downloaded, reproduced, and/or disseminated without the knowledge of the user(s), users must use extreme care when posting or sending such content.
    4. Each user acknowledges and agrees that the user: (i) will not have any copyright or other property rights in or to content that they (or others) post on the ݴýDigital Platforms; (ii) specifically waive such rights; and (iii) hereby grant all users a license to use (including the right to publish) all information posted by them on the ݴýDigital Platforms.
    5. Discussion topics are not to be relied upon as specific advice, and such responses are not intended to constitute guidelines or advice for attendee behavior.
    6. Users should exercise both common sense and courtesy in the content the user submits to the ݴýDigital Platforms and may not use the ݴýDigital Platforms to transmit defamatory, obscene, or otherwise offensive content.
    7. Users may not post or distribute files, articles, or other images to the ݴýDigital Platforms. User postings shall be specifically limited to comments and commentary from the users.
    8. Users may not post any commercial messages, advertisements, or promotions regarding any goods, products, or services on the ݴýDigital Platforms.
    9. Users must respect the security of the ݴýDigital Platforms and may not attempt to gain access or provide access to areas that are not readily accessible to the users.
    10. Users are prohibited from using the ݴýDigital Platforms to distribute any content that may be illegal, unlawful, or otherwise morally unscrupulous. For purposes of illustration, the ݴýDigital Platforms may not be used to solicit or disseminate information having to do with, or any activity related to, cheating, circumventing test security, test content, illegal drugs, pornography, gambling, spreading computer viruses, software infringement, trafficking in credit card codes, illegal boycotts and/or any other illegal, unlawful, or otherwise morally unscrupulous behavior or activity.
    11. The ݴýDigital Platforms may not be used in any manner that violates applicable international, federal, state or local laws, or any other policies, procedures, rules, or regulations that are applicable to the ݴýDigital Platforms.
    12. ݴýmay reject, terminate, or suspend access to the ݴýDigital Platforms to any individual that does not agree to abide by this ݴýForum Code of Conduct and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to: (i) remove any postings or other content that is inconsistent with the ݴýForum Code of Conduct, or otherwise not in the best interests of LSAC; and (ii) reject, terminate, or suspend access to the ݴýDigital Platforms for any violation of this ݴýForum Code of Conduct or for otherwise acting in any manner contrary to the best interests of LSAC.
  3. Prohibited Conduct and Behaviors

    By registering for and/or attending the ݴýForum, you accept and agree to abide by the ݴýForum Code of Conduct. If you do not wish to accept or agree to the ݴýForum Code of Conduct, you may not attend the ݴýForum or access the ݴýDigital Platforms. By using the ݴýDigital Platforms, you understand and agree that you are not permitted to engage in any of the following conduct or behaviors and any such conduct or behaviors is explicitly prohibited and engaging in any such conduct or behavior may result from your removal from the ݴýForum and/or the ݴýDigital Platforms and/or denial of entry to a future ݴýForum and/or denial of access to any future ݴýDigital Platforms:

    1. Posting your own as well as other individual’s personally identifiable information (e.g., name, address, phone number, places of employment, etc.).
    2. Posting links to phishing sites, malware, or spyware.
    3. Recording, capturing, copying, downloading, or otherwise sharing any recording or screenshot from the ݴýForum and/or any law school representative and/or displaying such content on any third-party website, platform, or forum.
    4. Impersonating any other user.
    5. Spamming, bashing, flaming, or trolling.
    6. Any kind of encouragement towards taking drugs, drinking alcohol, or otherwise engaging in morally unscrupulous conduct or behavior.
    7. Creating multiple accounts.
    8. Posting something that is knowingly false.
    9. Thread bumping, hijacking, or posting comments that are unrelated to the original topic and making it difficult for other users to follow the discussion.
    10. Engaging in political discussions or otherwise posting content in support of, or in opposition to, any political candidate, or political party.
    11. Posting pornography, inappropriate or offensive conduct, warez, and/or any other content that is not in the best interests of ݴýas determined by LSAC.
    12. Linking to cracks, key generators, pirated content, and promoting piracy.
    13. Threats of violence, harassment, or privacy breach.
    14. Using a third party’s intellectual property (full or partial) without the consent or authorization to do so.
    15. Use of language that is abusive, vulgar, hateful, defamatory, obscene, explicit, profane, threatening, privacy-invasive, or otherwise unlawful.
    16. Encouraging any other user not to abide by the ݴýForum Code of Conduct.
    17. Taking any other action that is deemed inappropriate by ݴýat LSAC’s sole discretion.

Choice of Law

The ݴýForum Code of Conduct shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States of America, exclusive of its choice of law or conflict of laws provisions. In addition, users consent to be subject to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the state courts located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, whichever has jurisdiction, and waive any jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such court in the event of any dispute between the parties.

Amendments

LSAC reserves the right to revise, amend, modify, supplement, or change the terms of this ݴýForum Code of Conduct, as it determines from time to time in the best interests of LSAC; provided, that, all users are notified prior to any such change by receiving a copy of the revised, amended, modified, supplement, or changed ݴýForum Code of Conduct. Attendance at any subsequent ݴýForum and/or access of the ݴýDigital Platforms constitutes the user’s continuing agreement to be bound by the ݴýForum Code of Conduct, as amended from time to time.

Acceptance of ݴýForum Code of Conduct

By attending the ݴýForum and/or accessing the ݴýDigital Platforms, you (i) represent and warrant that you have read this ݴýForum Code of Conduct, including, without limitation the terms of the Release set forth above; (ii) fully understand the terms of this ݴýForum Code of Conduct, including, without limitation, the Release included herein, and acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review this ݴýForum Code of Conduct, including, without limitation, the terms of the Release, with an attorney of your choosing if you so desire; and (iii) agree to be legally bound by the terms of this ݴýForum Code of Conduct.
